What is the Christmas Box?
This year Connect Church in Kapiti and Tawa are taking part in a nationwide initiative called Christmas Box. Christmas Box has been created out of a desire to see struggling families experience some joy over the holiday season with their loved ones. Each box that we put together is designed to feed a family of 4-6 people, providing enough food to help supplement meals for a week, including products for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are going to provide these boxes to some of the most vulnerable whānau in our communities with the intention of providing some relief over what we know can be a very stressful time.
How can I help?
Donate to Christmas Box:
Each box has a retail value of around $70, we are asking for donations of $30 per box to help contribute toward the overall cost, but you can also donate as much as you feel called to give. We have 500 boxes to give out between Kapiti and Tawa so any donation will be hugely appreciated and help make a difference! Any donation received will be included in your end of year donation receipt.
