Update March 23
Friends and Families of Connect Church,
As your Pastors, your safety and that of our church family is our priority. In this constantly changing environment we are needing to make some difficult but necessary decisions.
Today, we have been asked by our New Life National Executive team to immediately and without delay cease all official Sunday and midweek meetings, no matter how small, effective immediately. This includes home gatherings until further notice. This will be reviewed weekly.
Please ensure that you understand the government's alert system, we are currently at Level 2, however, things are rapidly changing each day and every hour, and we are expecting the government to continue to escalate the alert system for our safety. We are anticipating that we could be at Level 3 within 24 hours and at Level 4 relatively soon after.
Please understand that this is not fear talking - this is simply to protect you and your family through a worldwide pandemic. We urge you to take this very seriously.
On Wednesday the 25th of March at 12pm we are calling for all New Life Churches to pray together all across the nation, for New Zealand and the world. We will be joining with other churches at this time. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16
Believing God will guide and strengthen you, please know that you are all in our prayers at this time.
Pastors Adam and Anita
We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you - Psalms 33:20-22 NIV
Update March 21
Hi Parents & Connect Church families,
We want you to know that we are thinking of you and your children. With the ever changing restrictions due to Covid-19 we are limited in what we can do to stay connected and still be a community in this time. But we are doing everything we can to make things happen. In saying this, for this Sunday, we have created a programme that your kids can do while you watch the live stream at 10am.
We will be working daily on how we can improve this each week and make it into something that will work well for both you and your families.
This week there is a programme that will take some organization on your part with getting things setup to make it successful in your home. It is so important that we put in the extra effort as parents at this time. As Christians it important to set aside this time to worship, hear and learn about God. To show our kids that church doesn’t just happen when the building is open, but it happens because that is a time set aside every week to give to God.
An email has been sent to families with the programme attached. If you haven't received an email, please get in touch so that we can send you everything you need.

Update March 20
Hi Connect Church,
We want you to know that Connect Youth will not be meeting at church tonight. Instead, a 'live' video will be streamed via Instagram and Facebook where your teenager can connect and interact from within your home.
A 'live' video, hosted by Ps Kyle and Ps Grace, will start at 7pm and run for roughly 30 minutes. We believe in the youth and are working towards creative ways to keep everyone connected and supported during this time.

Update 19 March
Hi Connect Church family,
Firstly, I just want to let you know at this time that we love you, we are thinking of you, we are praying for you, and are standing with you. You are not alone.
We have been monitoring the effects of COVID-19 both worldwide and in New Zealand, and are doing everything possible to keep you informed. At this time you and our church community is our priority. We are being as proactive and as considerate as possible in matters concerning our churches health and safety, especially those most vulnerable among us.
We have made the decision not to gather at our physical location this Sunday. Instead, we will be live streaming at 10AM, you can tune in here, on the Connect Church Website. We will be doing a short acoustic worship and I’ll be bringing a word of encouragement.
The bible says in Hebrews 10:25, "Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together". So, going forward we will be looking at new and creative ways of how we can do church and community differently. Someone said this week, "The church is not closed, just our buildings. You are the church".
So Connect Church, let’s look after one another, let’s call each other, let’s message each other and if you need anything don’t hesitate to call the office. As well as that look after our neighbours.
We just want you to know we are praying for you.
Update 18 March

Due to Indian Government restrictions Connect Church in Pune is no longer able to meet together. You cannot congregate in groups of more than 5. Last week they meet in small groups wherever they could and this worked well. Please pray for our people there and Our Pastors as they journey this.
Update 17 March

At this time our community is our utmost concern and we are being as proactive and as considerate as possible in matters concerning our community’s health and safety, especially those most vulnerable among us.
Following our Prime Minister’s announcement, Storm Camps have been cancelled, and The New Life Executive team will be meeting tomorrow to explore different ways we can do church while we navigate these changes.
Currently, this Sunday Church will be continuing as normal with three services 8AM, 9.30AM, 11:15AM, we will update this page if there are any changes to this.
At Connect Church, people are our priority and connecting with people is at the heart of what we do. Our prayer is that you feel supported and strengthened in this time by your church family.
