Baptisms are coming up on Sunday 15th July. If you haven't been baptised yet, we would love to help you take this next step in your walk with Jesus. You can sign up below using our online form.
What is Water Baptism?
Water Baptism is an outward act of obedience, testifying to an inward work of grace, a public declaration of what has been an internal truth.
The act of baptism signifies a believer’s intention to bury the old life and begin a new life in Christ. It is an act of submerging a person under water, symbolising a burial. It is your symbolic burial service. You have died in Christ you have symbolically buried your old life in the water as an outward show of that which has happened on the inside. So during the act of baptism the person is fully submerged under water & then raised out of the water into newness of life in Christ. (Romans 6:3-7)
Why should I get baptised?
Jesus commanded all those who believed in Him to be baptized in water.
Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:18-20
Peter when asked what must we now do now that we have heard the gospel replied: ‘Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins…' Acts 2:38
